101 Vale Street - Austin (Rollingwood), TX

New Custom residence of approximately 5800 sq. ft. that incorporates the owner’s private Architectural Office into the fabric of the project. The house is two levels and steps down with the natural slope of the site in an attempt to merge with its context. Its regional strivings are rooted in its material usage of stone, stucco and corrugated metal siding. Also, vernacular shapes and historical references to early Texas forms enhance these regional qualities. The residence has texture to feel, light to live by and an organic quality that one appreciates as it merges with the trees, topography, rock outcroppings, water and the natural animal life that surround it.
